Overall Condition This oversized 38mm Vetta chronograph is in honest vintage condition, with a clean dial that has faded to a soft cream white which compliments nicely with the gold case. The case largely retains its crisp, angular lines, though the lugs and bezel show evidence of light polishing. The gold-capped surfaces, however, remain intact throughout. The dial has aged to a pale cream tone, with subtle discolouration around the outer tachymeter track that speaks to its vintage history. The hour and minute hands show more oxidation than the indices and the remaining handset, which remain comparatively clean. The manual winding Valjoux 23 movement winds smoothly, offering a precise, tactile feel through the crown. The chronograph starts, stops, and resets with clean, confident actions. Service history is unknown, but all functions are working and operational.

This is a rare 38mm Vetta chronograph from the 1950s. Wyler was founded by brothers Paul and Alfred Wyler in 1896. In the 1930s and 1940s, the brand was retailed in Italy by Innocenti Binda. The "Vetta" name was adopted because foreign names were prohibited in fascist Italy at the time.

This Vetta chronograph features a gold-capped case with a stainless steel caseback. The well proportioned dial has a double tachometric chronograph scale on the outside and a telemetric scale on the inside. The gold-plated applied indexes, hands, and "Vetta" logo add a refined touch to this warm, gold-tone dial.

It is powered by the Vetta 130, a Valjoux 23 column wheel movement beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour with 46 hours of power reserve.
