A truly rare and fascinating Seiko Lord Marvel variant from 1960s believed to have been specially produced for Japan’s Imperial Household. Features the sixteen-petaled chrysanthemum crest (十六葉八重菊紋, kikumon) in pale gold beneath the Seiko logo. Unique dial layout with twelve double batons and broad dagger-style hands. Caseback marked only “Nippon Seiko”, with exclusive reference 5720-9990.

Condition

The silver dial is clean and free from visible patina. The chrysanthemum crest remains sharp and well defined, with clean lines detailing throughout.

The case appears to have been lightly polished at some point but still retains its original lines and sharp edges.

On the case back, light surface scratches are visible, though all engravings remain fully intact and clearly legible.

The high-beat manual winding mechanism operates smoothly, offering that precise, tactile feedback.
