The Seiko Lord Marvel 36000 is a historically significant wristwatch first released in late 1967. It is known for being the first Japanese watch to feature a true high-beat movement, with a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second), making it one of the earliest high-frequency watches worldwide.

The movement, caliber 5740C, was notable for its precision and reliability, serving as a technological milestone that paved the way for Seiko’s later high-end lines such as Grand Seiko and King Seiko.

The watch has a classic 1960s dress watch design, with a stainless steel case approximately 35mm in diameter, faceted baton indices, dauphine hands, and a clean, symmetrical dial without a date window. The Lord Marvel 36000 was produced until the late 1970s, with versions available in steel and gold-plated cases, and it remains a highly prized collectible for its combination of vintage elegance and horological innovation.
