Overall Condition This Shanghai 1524 is offered in authentic, original condition, with all of its original components intact. The silvered dial is clean and free from any visible blemishes. The case maintains its sharply defined angles. While the case back shows some scratches, all the engravings remain clear and well-defined. The watch was last serviced in 2025, and the winding mechanism feels crisp and tactile.

Produced after 1971 with the introduction of the SS1K movement, this 上海 Shanghai 1524 features a high-beat caliber operating at 21,600 beats per hour. The SS1K is an upgraded version of the original low-beat SS1 movement, which runs at 18,000 bph and is typically found in models like the 1110, 1112, 1120, and 1123. This Shanghai 1524 is presented with a silver dial accented by bronze indices, a bronze outer ring, and bronze hands. The case back bears an “anti-shock” marking. The watch remains in pristine condition, highlighted by its wide lugs and sharply defined angles.
